Membership Information

Anyone can play at our events !

What is essential, you must ENJOY GOLF !

  • You dont have to have a handicap
  • You dont have to be a member of a club
  • You dont even have to become a member
  • Open to Age 17 & under ( Age as of 01/07/2010)
 
Membership
A yearly membership (from September 1st, 2009 through to August 31st, 2010 ) costs £50.00.
 
The BJGT membership entitles you to lower competition fees, priority booking status for competitions over non-members in the case of over subscriptions, online booking for competitions and access to the Members area on the website.

Membership Levels
Elite - competitions for players with a CONGU handicap of less than 11.
Development - competitions for players with a CONGU handicap of 11 up to 28.
Academy - competitions for players with no handicap requirement.
 
CONGU handicap certificates have to be shown on request, and should be bought along to all competitions. Clubs handicaps are not accepted.
 
Membership is not required to play in a BJGT event.
 
Competitions
 
Elite - played over 18 holes. Mixed ages playing White Tees, using longest set-up available on the day at the competition venue.
 
Development - played over 18 holes. Age banded from the following tees,
Age 13+ White Tees
U12 Boys Yellow Tees
U10 Boys Yellow Tees
U8 Boys Red Tees
All Girls Red Tees
Girls of lower handicaps can by request play from yellow tees if desired.
 
Academy - played over 9 holes, either on an executive or academy course(par 3) or shortest setup on the proper course.
 
National Tour Events
Competitions played across the country at a variety of different clubs, ranging in difficulty.
Events will cater to all levels of BJGT membership.
Order of Merit points can be gained at these events.
 
Majors
Monthly competitions held at prestigious courses known for their challenges and high degree of difficulty and skill required. Prices will very for Major events with green fee charges.
Events will generally cater to Elite & Development players.
Order of Merit points gained at these events count double.
A separate Major Order of Merit standing will determine the players eligibility for the 2010 Kisby Cup.
