Parental Information

Entering a BJGT event

Once you have entered a BJGT tournament, you will receive an email confirming your entry has been received. At this present time players ARE NOT individually notified of tee times.

After the closing date, which is usually 7 days prior, all paid entrants will be listed for tee times and displayed on the competition page against the Events Tee Times.

  • It is the responsibility of the player to establish his or her own tee time.
  • All tee times are subject to change and you must check before travelling.

Arriving at the event

Registration opens 1 hour before the first tee time. At the venue look for our BJGT registration desk and make yourself known to the Event Secretary.

Once you have signed in, your will receive your scorecard and confirmation of your tee time and groupings. 
  • You must then proceed to the first tee 10 minutes prior to your tee time.
  • Late arrival to the tee may result in two stroke penalty or disqualification.
  • The Event starter will announce on the tee each player's name before he or she tees off. 
  • It is acceptable to applaud and give a warm welcome to every player.

Presentations

Trophies/ Medals are awarded to the top finishers at each competition.

Each presentation will take place after close of play. Smart golf attire is acceptable, however please do note individual venues may have an alternative dress code in place.

The presentation is a worthy part of every event; it allows players and families to socalise and is an excellent opportunity to interact with others. The BJGT has a very proud reputation for our friendliness and sociable side, which can often be found lacking in the junior golf world. Therefore all players are expected to stay for every presentation.

In the event of an academy tournament finishing earlier than a main course competition, we may present awards to the academy and U6 players separately.
Cancellations
In the event of any BJGT competition being cancelled, all entries fees will be refunded. The BJGT always endeavour to run every event advertised. In the event of insufficient numbers, the event may be cancelled, any registered playerd will be notified by email and voicemail at the earliest possible moment.
Bad Weather
As the BJGT is continuous through all seasons, we have fallen victim to snowstorms,flooding and occasional course closure. In the event of this occuring, all registered entrants will be notified ASAP by email and voicemail. Notices during winter are regularly displayed on the home page.
