The British Junior Golf Tour are now accepting applications from all other players for the UK Grand Final who meet scoring criteria at a cost of £145 per player.

At the final, winners from age groups 8,9,10,11,12,14,15-17 plus top 2 girls age 10+ ( best nett + best gross ) will win a place in the KISBY CUP tournament, which is being held on the 2010 course on Saturday 22nd, (therefore winners will need to stay over) . There is no charge to compete in this the inaugural KISBY CUP !
On entering the UK final, you will need to notify us IF you CANNOT PLAY on Day 3.
 
GIRLS INFORMATION
 
Please note, the following amendment does not apply to the Academy Girls.
 
Due to the varied ages of the girls entered in the 10+ age groups for this years Grand Final, it has been impossible to break the field down into different age category's.
We felt it would not provide a meaningful competition to have just 2 or 3 players in an age group.
Therefore, we have decided to offer 2 overall prizes for the 10+ girls, a Best Gross and Best Nett, regardless of age.
The winner of each of these prizes will win a place in the Kisby Cup to be played on the 2010 Course on the third day of the event.
We hope you can understand why we have taken this decision, and agree that it will provide a better competitive experience.
We would ask all girls to bring an up to date handicap certificate with them to registration.

Rules
Age group category’s 8 – 17 will play full R&A rules, books are available.
Age 6 & Academy Groups – Usual Tour rules apply, details will be given.
 
Start Times
Round 1 will be available online 1 week before the event.
Round 2 – Players will be regrouped according to their score on day 1, with the leaders going out in the last group. Times will be available in the clubhouse, and online approx 1 hr after the close of play on day 1.
 
Kisby Cup
Times from 10am, qualifiers to meet at the 2010 Clubhouse at approx 9am. (Saturday 22nd) 

 

Range Finders/GPS devices: Are permitted (distance only)

 

Buggies       
Will be available for spectators and caddies, however players will not be permitted to ride in them during the round.
However, where there is a considerable walk between green and tee, the younger players are advised to use a buggy, both for their own good and pace of play. 
 
Buggies should be reserved through us, not through Celtic Manor direct, and will be allotted on a first come basis, at a reduced rate of £10 each per round.

 

Caddies
Are permitted but PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING
Coaching is strictly prohibited. Over analysis is also prohibited.
Players should be left to their own decisions as much as possible, especially on the greens! Caddies are only
permitted to tend the flag not assist with reading greens
PLEASE NOTE IF ANY CADDY IS FOUND TO OVER COACH, THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CADDY ON DAY 2
 
Round Times
Rounds should take no longer than 4 1/2 hrs.
This will be monitored very closely and any group falling behind risks having penalty shots added.

 

Results
Winners of each age group will be decided by the combined gross score.
 
Playoff
Sudden death, with the 18th hole being repeated, after round 2 only.
 
Trick Shot Show
Dean Davis will be performing his fantastic trick shot show following play on day 1.
Details will be provided nearer the time.

 

Presentation
The presentation will be following play on the second day, in the marquee to the side of the 18th green.
All players will be expected to stay for the presentation and photographs.
We expect this to take place around 8.30pm.

 

TV Coverage
Both days are being filmed for 1 hr programme to be shown on Sky Sports.
Players, caddies and parents may be required to give a short interview for this piece.
